Education Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or a related field (preferred)
Work Experience Requirements:
* Five years of experience in working directly with children in a child related field
Supervisory Requirements:
* Must have at least one year of direct supervisory experience with children and families in either job related or volunteer experience
Status:
* Fulltime, Exempt
Qualifications:
Must demonstrate leadership skills and qualities. Knowledge of kinship foster care services, juvenile court system and client/family needs and attachment issues preferred. Must possess excellent case management skills. Must have the ability to work effectively and cooperatively with other service providers. Must have crisis intervention skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
As the Respite Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the operations of the respite program and respite house. Your key responsibilities include:
* Primary function of the Respite Supervisor is to provide direct supervision to the Respite Caseworker
* Complete all monthly reports (i.e. initial respite report, certificate of approval, current status report, payment forms, etc)
* Responsible for processing monthly respite billing for all respite homes and substitute caregiver homes
* Oversee the certification/recertification of all respite homes
* Responsible for recruiting certifiable respite homes
* Assist the Intake Department with providing a full range of emergency/temporary/foster care services as needed
* Assist the entire Program Department as needed
* Other duties as assigned.
