Job Duties
Technical skills required for patient care.Good oral and written communication skills.Good interpersonal skills.Speaks, reads and writes English to the extent required by the position.
Other Duties
Effectively utilizes the hospital computer system as it pertains to job responsibilities and in accordance with hospital policy.Participates in CQI activities as assigned.Assists other personnel as needed.Performs other related duties as required.
Position Qualifications
1 year of experience as a Nurse's Aide preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent.Successful completion of an approved Nurse's Aide training course required.Certified Nursing Assistant in the State of New Jersey.American Heart Association Heartsaver CRP/AED certification.
Job Setting/Physical Demands
All patient care areas; contact with residents, visitors and staff.Works in office areas, therapy rooms, resident rooms, etc.Must be constantly alert for resident safety.Communicates with nursing personnel and other department supervisors.Frequently prolonged standing/walking.Lifts, positions, pushes, and/or transfers residents.Protective clothing worn: face shield, gloves, impermeable gown, particulate respirator.
