BASIC FUNCTION: The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Restorative Aide works directly with the Care Center residents to assist with, facilitate and monitor maintenance programs designed to preserve level of function in activities of daily living.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Specific program categories include active and passive range of motion, splinting and bracing, ambulation, bed mobility, transfers, dressing and grooming, schedule of bowel and bladder, feeding and communication.
- Responsibilities include restorative dining activities to support residents in transition from assisted dining to independent dining, including but not limited to documenting resident intakes for meals.
- Captures and documents resident weights on a weekly basis.
- Works in coordination with Rehabilitative Services to align activities with resident therapy goals and schedule residents on and off the restorative program.
- Performs various charting and documentation activities.
- CNA Restorative Aides will at times be assigned standard CNA duties and shifts as business need dictates.
- Standard CNA duties include provision of various direct, quality patient care activities to residents, including assisting patients in dressing or undressing, bathing, eating, etc. Implements specific procedures and programs; coordinates work within the department as well as with other departments. Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor and documents resident interactions as needed. Responds to inquiries or requests for information. Assists immediate supervisor and nurses with tasks to support department operations.
- Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:- Must have an active valid license as a Certified Nurse Aide in the State of Colorado.
- Must have current BLS card upon hire and maintain current status throughout GRHD employment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent or preferred.
- Two years of practical experience in a CNA position preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
SALARY INFORMATION :- $17.50 - $26.57 Dependent on Experience
- 10% differential in addition to base rate salary
- Additional $2.00 - $4.00 an hour for additional weekend and night shifts
