ReStore General Manager

Our affiliate is currently seeking applications to become our next ReStore General Manager. The position is currently open on Indeed.

The Habitat for Humanity ReStore generates revenue through the sale of donated building materials and household items to support HFHMC's mission. The ReStore Manager is responsible for the overall management of the ReStore's day-to-day operations, planning for the ReStore's future, and representing the ReStore at public and community events. Specific responsibilities involve operations, staff/volunteer management, reporting and communications, finance and administration, and policy and planning. Previous retail management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all retail operations while ensuring consistent and efficient operations
  • Design strategy and set goals for growth
  • Set priorities, policies, and processes
  • Ensure ReStore is adequately staffed with employees and volunteers
  • Hire, train, and manage ReStore staff
  • Ensure proper maintenance of facility, equipment, and vehicles
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive operations manual
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Enhance the organization's culture by reinforcing core values and fostering a positive work environment
  • Research and implement best practices in retail and merchandising
  • Implement and monitor financial controls and provide accurate accounting records
  • Develop marketing and advertising strategy for the ReStore integrated with the overall HFHMC strategy
  • Develop relationships with existing and potential donors to increase the quality and quantity of donations
  • Provide quality customer service and handle grievances professionally

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $58,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
