Job Description:
SUMMARY: Reporting to the Director of ReStores, The ReStore Store Manager oversees all aspects of operations of assigned retail store. Areas of focus include customer service, sales and profit growth, expense control and team development. The Store Manager role requires a high level of communication, efficiency and drive for results. This is a Full Time, Exempt position requiring flexibility to work evening and weekend hours as needed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES)
  • Leads, supports and models our Core Values with staff, donors and customers
  • Utilizes reporting to identify and react to sales opportunities
  • Understands sales targets and monitors achievement of benchmarks and goals.
  • Observes trends and patterns to determine root causes of problems and identify solutions
  • Hold regular staff meetings to communicate updates from our affiliate
  • Address employee relations issues and escalating to ReStore Director and HR for partnership when needed
  • Builds high performing teams that can accomplish goals, initiatives, and priorities
  • Responsible for networking and recruiting within the market to ensure the store has appropriate staffing levels
  • Communicates clearly and objectively in ways that build commitment and demonstrate support for affiliate objectives
  • Ensure that polices and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual and Employee Handbook are followed
  • Manage expenses and cash controls
  • Manage inventory for purchased product.

  • Available to work weekends and evenings.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience.
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong passion for the organization's mission;
  • Strategic vision with ability to manage tactically.
  • Self-starter with ability to work both independently and with staff and volunteers.
  • Proven organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and produce high quality results quickly and on time;
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to be on their feet for long periods of time (8-hour days, 5 days/week). The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, carry, as well as pulling and reaching to obtain stock and/or acquire merchandise for sale. Position requires the ability to frequently lift products/supplies, up to 50 lbs. WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates primarily in a retail/warehouse environment and can require operating equipment such as a forklift, power tools, hand tools, ladders, price guns, pallet jacks and other material handling equipment. Occasionally works in outside conditions that can include heat, humidity, and high noise levels.
