Retail Assistant Merchandise Planner- Colton, CA (on-site)Build Your Career with AshleyThe Assistant Merchandise Planner is responsible for managing inventory flow for the Enterprise HomeStores to support sales and product turn for a portion of a product category as assigned. The primary focus of this position is to keep the HomeStores in stock with the best-selling products and to keep liabilities of slow moving products to a minimum. This position will analyze and maintain individual store inventory levels to maximize sales and profits, while working closely with teammates to coordinate the flow of information in a timely manner to delivery by deadlines.Responsibilities• Ensure financial accountability to the merchandising strategy.• Collaborate with the merchant, pricing and planning partners to develop yearly sales, margin and product turn plans; recommend divisional and departmental sales growth to drive business strategies.• Maintain in-season product plans and forecast; collaborate with team to execute top-down and bottom-up roles of individual SKUs and styles.• Recommend inventory levels for promotional products.• Develop and execute product exit strategies.• Provide recommendations for the replenishment strategy.• Provide guidance to the planning coordinators in translating SKU plans, distribution strategies, etc.• Financially execute the advertising strategy; communicate weekly advertised products and forecast quantities to the planning team.• Allocate product to stores based upon floor set documents to ensure appropriate inventory in-stock positions and requirements are met for display quantities.• Build a collaborative team relationship with merchant, pricing and manufacturer counterparts.• Update field-store operations teams on product flow strategy.• Demonstrate the Company's Core and Growth Values in the performance of all job functions.What do you need?• 2+ years' experience within the Merchandising, specifically within the furniture industry• Advanced Excel & Business analytics• Exceptional Time Management• Project management skills• Excellent written and verbal communication skillsWorking ConditionsThis position will be in-officeOccasional travel (20%) within Northern CaliforniaBenefits:When you join our family, you are eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits programs which includes Health, Dental, Vision, Life/Disability, Flexible Spending Accounts, 401(k), Paid Holidays, 80 hours paid vacation and 40 hours of California Paid Sick Leave.
