Different guests want different things, and we are here to build and provide a tailored retail experience.THE ROLEThe Retail Cashier is responsible for selling merchandise to customers.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONObsessed with client satisfaction, asking, “How can I exceed your expectations today?”Maintains consistency in attitude and behaviorWorks to make a specific impression on our clientsApproaches all tasks with a “can-do” attitudePresents a cheerful, positive mannerShows initiative and takes action with an appropriate level of independenceGreets and acknowledges guestsAnswers guests' questions and assists them whenever possibleRecommends, selects and helps locate or obtain merchandise for guestsFollows all register procedures, handles cash accordingly and bags merchandiseEnsures that all merchandise is correctly labeled and displayedMaintains a clean and organized storeKnows where goods are to be found in storeSets aside and notifies supervisor of defective, mis-marked, mislabeled, incorrectly priced, shopworn or damaged merchandiseWatches for and recognizes security risks and thefts and reports to security and managementOffer the highest level of customer service to internal and external guestsMaintain a professional attitude and appearanceQUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels.
