Job Type Part-time Description OVERVIEW The Hourly C-store / Retail Employee's main responsibility to provide quality customer service to store patrons while insuring the inside and outside of the facility is clean and well maintained. This includes but is not limited to; assisting customers, stocking inventory, store housekeeping, unloading of deliveries and other duties as required. Must be 18 yrs of age to apply. Responsibilities:
- Projects a positive attitude to customers and employees always
- Provides outstanding and courteous customer service
- Read and follow company employee policies
- Continuously follows the safety guidelines and safety programs established for the C-Store
- Flexibility in work hours and shift assignments may be required
- Ability to understand and carry out instructions
- Complete daily paperwork
- Operate cash register and other company equipment as needed
- Records sales transactions and receives payments for the transactions
- Greets customers in a friendly manner and helps them in finding products or services of the C-Store
- Re-stocks shelves, displays, and food service items
- Keeps all product dispensing equipment and service areas orderly and clean
- Performs all assigned inside and outside housekeeping duties
- Assist with for prep work of main kitchen, associated areas, and preparing orders when needed.
- Show up when your shift is to begin and work the assigned hours of the shift.
- Other duties may be assigned
Requirements QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: High School education or GED preferred Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Other Skills and Abilities: Voluntary training in providing First Aid and CPR Physical Demands:
- Able to sit, bend, and reach over head as part of daily activities
- Able to hear effectively on phone to take messages and answer inquiries
- Able to read documents with fine print.
- Able to use a keyboard
- Able to lift 60+ pounds
