Job Summary: The position of Retail Attendant is responsible for greeting all customers in a friendly and courteous way, selling merchandise, maintaining a neat and tidy store while also assisting customers with all questions and requests.
Job Responsibilities:
* Energetically welcome customers
* Operate the register and POS system
* Upsell merchandise at appropriate times
* Maintain a clean and organized store
* Perform inventory
* Answer phone calls, emails, and additional inquiries
* Maintain knowledge of store merchandise
* Serves customers by assisting in selecting products
* Drives sales through engagement of customers and suggestive selling
* Directs customers by escorting them to their preferred products location
* Manage financial transactions
* Alerts management of potential security issues
* Documents sales by creating or updating customer profile records
* Keep clientele informed by notifying them of preferred customer sales and future merchandise of potential interest
* All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
* Sufficient education and literacy needed to identify and read product labels and to communicate with guests about job-related needs
* Previous in-person customer experience preferred
* Previous retail experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
* Detail oriented and thorough
* Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of guests
* Ability to perform consistent work to the highest of standards
* Ability to interact with guests in a pleasant friendly way
* Ability to perform cash transactions correctly
* Knowledge of Microsoft office operations
