Job Type Full-timeDescriptionSummary:The Retail Banking Manager oversees the sales, operations, and business development within the branch. This position serves as the lead supervisory role within the branch and is responsible for managing and developing the retail banking team. Essential Functions:•Exercise appropriate judgment when decisioning overdrafts, wires, negotiable instruments, etc. while utilizing the tools provided and acting within the authorities of the position.•Examine checks deposited and determine proper funds availability based on regulation requirements and complete hold notices. Approve large deposits. •Exercise appropriate oversight of all teller line and platform roles with enhanced focus on policy/procedure adherence and sound judgement. Provide real-time feedback and coaching sessions to team members•Answer advanced customer inquiries regarding interest rates, service charges and account histories while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations and consumer privacy policies.•Cross-sell bank products and services.•Accept and facilitate consumer loan applications as a NMLS-registered representative.•Oversee daily branch settlement and review reconciliation for accuracy; enforcing branch cash limits.•Manage internal audits of the teller line and stay within compliance of Retail and Bank policy. •Analyze transactions and make the appropriate decisions for approving RBI, RBII, and Senior Retail Banker transactions.•Attend external business development/networking opportunities in an effort to grow deposits•Conduct external sales calls to develop new business within the branch market.•Research and resolve customer problems, acting as the customer liaison between other bank departments when necessary.•Research customer questions regarding electronic funds transfers and initiate Reg E disputes when appropriate, including the completion of all necessary documents and affidavits.•Maintain operational soundness of the banking center by ensuring all audit safeguards are being followed in accordance with procedures.•All employees will be responsible for understanding and complying with the letter and spirit of all government regulations including, but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, that apply to the bank's specific operations.RequirementsCompetencies1. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Physical DemandsThis position requires sitting at a computer station for extended periods of time. Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. TravelNo extensive travel is expected for this position however the candidate must have reliable transportation to and from work. In addition, must be willing to travel to branch locations with-in market to provide coverage in cases deemed necessary.Required Education and Experience•4 years or more of banking experience required•Customer service experience strongly preferredAdditional Eligibility QualificationsNone required for this position.
