About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced, results-driven Retail District Manager to oversee the daily operations of multiple retail stores within an assigned district. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in retail management, leadership, and team development, with a strong ability to drive sales, enhance customer satisfaction, and maintain operational excellence across all stores in the district. The responsibilities are outlined below, however other duties/tasks may be assigned at any time.
The person in this position will need to be located in one of the following states: Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma, or Texas.
You'll Make a Difference ByLeadership & Team Management: - Leading and mentoring store managers and their teams, providing coaching, performance feedback, and professional development.
- Fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, engagement, and high morale.
- Ensuring all store managers are trained in company policies, procedures, and product knowledge.
Sales & Profitability: - Driving sales performance across all stores by setting clear targets, developing strategies to achieve them, and ensuring consistent follow-through.
- Monitoring financial performance, managing budgets, and implementing cost-control measures to increase profitability.
- Analyzing sales trends and market conditions to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Customer Experience & Satisfaction: - Ensuring exceptional customer service standards are upheld in all stores.
- Implementing strategies to improve the overall customer experience, including store appearance, product availability, and staff interactions.
- Resolving escalated customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
Operations & Compliance: - Overseeing the operational efficiency of all stores, ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Conducting regular store visits to ensure compliance with visual merchandising standards, safety protocols, and inventory control.
- Working closely with the store managers to execute inventory management and loss prevention strategies.
Recruitment & Talent Management: - Leading recruitment efforts to hire, train, and retain top talent for store positions.
- Ensuring that staff are trained and developed to meet company expectations and performance standards.
- Managing performance appraisals and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
Reporting & Analysis: - Providing regular reports on store performance, including sales results, inventory levels, and employee productivity.
- Analyzing KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to track the district's performance and develop actionable strategies to address areas of concern.
Collaboration & Communication: - Collaborating with other district managers and senior leadership to share best practices and improve overall district performance.
- Maintaining strong communication with corporate teams regarding new initiatives, marketing campaigns, and product launches.
About You - Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail management, with at least 2 years in a district manager or multi-store management role.
- Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in analyzing data and translating it into actionable strategies.
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (intermediate skill level in Excel) and retail management software (POS, scheduling, inventory management tools).
- Willingness to travel between stores within the district.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
