DescriptionRetail ManagerAs a Retail Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the retail operations within the designated shops at our City House and Travers Island locations as well as the online store. You will be tasked with ensuring exceptional customer service, maximizing sales and profitability, managing inventory, and leading a team of retail associates to achieve performance targets and organizational goals.Education, Skills Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Retail Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in retail management and product purchasing with a track record of achieving sales targets and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail management software.
  • Knowledge of retail industry trends and best practices.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Key Responsibilities AreasLeadership and Team Management:
  • Recruit, train, develop, supervise, and motivate retail staff.

Sales and Customer Service:

  • Train staff in product knowledge and sales techniques to enhance customer experience.
  • Creation of special orders for events.
Inventory Management:
  • Manage inventory levels to optimize sales and minimize stock shortages or overages.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and implement procedures to prevent loss or shrinkage.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast demand and inventory replenishment strategies.
  • Budget management monthly/yearly to meet departmental metrics.
Purchasing:
  • Develop and implement strategic purchasing plans that align with organizational objectives and budgetary constraints and goals.
  • Source and maintain vendor relationships based on quality, reliability, price, and service levels.
  • Oversee the end-to-end procurement of goods, from selection, purchase to receiving in inventory.
Visual Merchandising:
  • Oversee the layout and presentation of merchandise to maximize visual appeal and sales.
  • Ensure that displays are updated regularly and comply with company standards and promotional guidelines.
Financial Management:
  • Monitor expenses and manage budgets effectively to maximize profitability.
  • Analyze sales data and trends to make informed decisions regarding pricing, promotions, and product assortment.
  • Implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality or customer service.
Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a safe and clean store environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Train staff on safety protocols and emergency procedures.
