Job Title: Retail Manager Department: Retail Division Reports to: Director of Retail The Retail Manager will oversee inventory management, accurate receiving of all merchandise, and ensures efficient control processes. Responsible for supervising team operations, assisting members and guests with inquiries, handling phone communication, and processing sales transactions to deliver a seamless customer experience. - Partner with corporate and resort management to establish, direct, and monitor daily operating standards for all stores and retail support areas.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
- Implement strategies to drive sales and enhance customer satisfaction.
Planning:
- Collaborate with corporate and resort management to establish annual and seasonal retail plans.
- Develop and execute strategies to achieve defined financial goals.
- Monitor and adjust plans as necessary to meet targets.
Merchandising:
- Partner with corporate and resort management to direct and monitor on-site merchandising activities.
- Provide feedback and information to corporate buyers to ensure the right product mix.
- Maintain visually appealing and strategically placed merchandise displays.
Staff Management:
- Recruit, train, and supervise retail staff.
- Create staff schedules and manage time-off requests.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and development.
Financial Management:
- Understand and analyze Profit and Loss statements.
- Monitor and manage retail budgets and expenses.
- Ensure accurate cash handling and financial transactions.
Customer Service:
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure staff do the same.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally.
Is this the job for me:
- Successful retail management experience of stores and prior multiple unit leadership responsibility.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Understand Profit and Loss statements,
- Must have working knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Power Point and Access) as well as POS experience
- Visual Merchandising Skills
- Must be able to travel as needed
- College degree preferred
