Retail Merchandiser - College Bookstore Company: L&R Distributors
Location: 1938 W University Ave, Gainesville, FL 32603
Pay Rate: Up to $15.00 per hour
Hours: 2-3 hours per week - Regular Bookstore store hours. This will vary based on individual store sales volume, delivery schedule, and store needs

Job Overview: L&R Distributors is seeking a
Retail Merchandiser to support merchandising operations in this college bookstore. As part of our team, you will ensure that products such as cosmetics and trial travel items are well-stocked, organized, and promoted according to our standards. The role involves working closely with Store Management to maintain and enhance the shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities: - Merchandising & Stocking: Maintain product displays and ensure shelves are fully stocked with inventory, following planograms and store guidelines.
- Ordering Inventory: Place orders for products using company-provided technology, including tablets and scanners, to keep up with demand.
- Store Visits: Regularly visit assigned stores based on a set schedule. Tasks include checking product levels, organizing displays, completing audits, and taking photos for reporting.
- Customer Service: Communicate with Store Associates and Management to resolve issues, answer questions, and provide exceptional service.
- Promotions & Sales Knowledge: Stay informed on current sales, promotions, and policies related to product returns and exchanges.
Additional Responsibilities: - Verify shipments and deliveries.
- Clean and organize display areas.
- Maintain consistent communication with L&R District Manager (DM).
- Physical labor: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when stocking or setting up displays.
Qualifications: - High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
- Retail or merchandising experience is a plus.
- Smartphone or computer with an internet connection.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
