We are looking for a Retail Sales Associate to provide excellent customer service and meet sales quotas for the Pro Shop at Gold's Gym in Venice. Candidates with strong communication skills who can make customers feel welcome in our store will stand out. You will help identify client needs, present and answer questions about our products and services and recommend solutions. A positive attitude and a desire to promptly resolve potential customer issues or complaints will make you successful in this role. Ultimately, you will ensure that customers leave our store satisfied and you will contribute to the store's profitability. You will also be responsible for stocking the store and helping maintain the standard of the store during your shifts.
- Greet and direct customers provide best in class customer service
- Answer customers' questions about specific products/services (e.g., product features, pricing, and after-sales services)
- Cross-sell products and conduct price and feature comparisons to facilitate purchasing
- Ensure that the pro shop is fully stocked, according to company standards
- Inform customers about discounts and special offers
- Provide customer feedback to the General Manager, Retail Sales Manager, and District Retail Manager
- Stay up to date with new products
- Help maintain the company's standards on the salesfloor and stock rooms
- Process shipments at the direction of the Retail Sales Manager
- Answer phones if needed
- Process retail and concession sales/returns/exchanges at POS
- Attends all staff meetings as directed
- Follows and reports any safety concerns notifying management of gym incidents that requires incident reports
- Proven work experience as a Retail Sales Associate or similar role
- Understanding of the retail sales process
- Familiarity with consumer behavior principles
- Knowledge of inventory stocking procedures
- Basic math skills
- Track record of achieving sales quotas
- Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships
- Ability to perform in fast-paced environments
- Reliable, flexible team player who works well with minimal supervision, who has a good work ethic, and an ability to set and maintain personal boundaries
- Regularly required to stand, bend, and occasionally lift or carry up to 45 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Excellent customer service skills are required
- Ability to communicate effectively with both staff and members
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally, non-verbally and in writing is required
- Functional computer skills are required
- Must be able to work a flexible work schedule to include holidays and weekends
