Basic Function: The Retail Sales Lead ensures that our Retail Sales Associate/Hosts are the friendly face of the business and the first and lasting impression, setting the stage for the desired experience of each guest. This role is a problem solver, supervising staff toward providing information, direction, and genuine hospitality to guests as they come and go. The Retail Supervisor utilizes knowledge of craft and salesmanship to guarantee connection with guests, understanding to the needs of the moment, and the perfect solution toward fostering a loyal following. PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
  • Lead training of all Retail team members, making recommendations to leadership regarding development and promotion opportunities.
  • Ensure thorough and accurate execution of Retail closing duties.
  • Assists Front of House (FOH) Manager with writing and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ensure standards are met as pertains to matters of safety, quality, cleanliness, and organization, both on the sales floor and in stock areas.
  • Maintain presentation of merchandise to company standards and ensure timeliness and accuracy of all merchandise sets.
  • Listen to product recommendations from guests, recommending new items and merchandising improvements as applicable.
  • Participate with FOH Manager in the completion of periodic performance evaluations.
  • Lead pre-shift meetings, weekly team meetings, and periodic team meetings as necessary.
  • Send periodic all-staff and team communications, via email, regarding new items, sales and promotions, special releases, process/procedure changes, etc.
  • Prepare for, and participate in, monthly FOH all-staff meetings.
  • Act as knowledge leader for Retail team with regards to use of department tools/technology (POS, bottle engraving software, etc.).
  • Conduct regular inventory of retail merchandise in conjunction with an accounting representative.
  • Manage inventory out-of-stock list and report nightly to Production and Marketing as necessary.
  • Ensure stock levels are at 100% of available product by guiding closing personnel to achieve stocking standards.
  • Order additional inventory quantities via the internal Purchase Order (PO) process as necessary.
  • Instruct and delegate tasks and responsibilities to be executed in the Lead Retail's absence, ensuring completion upon return, and holding accountability where necessary.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND VISUAL SKILLS:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must speak English fluently and be able to write in basic English.
  • Good organizational skills and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate commitment to team members and managers.
  • Ability to use logical or rational thinking to solve problems.
  • Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
  • Ability to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions independently.
  • Ability to operate, clean and maintain all equipment required in job functions.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
  • Ability to visually inspect food and beverage orders, read order forms and ensure that orders comply with the customer's request.
  • Ability to stand for 6-8 hours.
  • Ability to perform moderate physical work; may be required to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 25 pounds of food trays carrying over their head constantly and performing such activities as bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, and grasping for up to five hours without sitting.
Requirements EDUCATIONAL, DEVELOPMENT AND WORK-RELATED EXPERIENCE:
  • Thorough knowledge of food and beverage service preparation and operational procedures as would normally be acquired through a high school education and at least one year of relevant experience preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of state liquor laws as applied to food and beverage service operational practices and procedures as would be acquired through and at least one year of relevant experience preferred in progressively responsible position.
  • Mature experience in hospitality.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with an Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) a plus.

  • Works primarily indoors in a bar and restaurant environment.

  • dangerous chemicals/solvents if proper safety procedures are not followed.
