The Retail Sales Representative will collaborate and strategize to improve sales, and merchandising activities in the assigned sales territory, execute on client expectations and represent GFI throughout the market. This Sales Representative will demonstrate outstanding customer service and selling skills by assisting customers, answering questions, and suggesting items of value to build customer loyalty. What You'll Be Doing... Some of your duties may include:
- Establish and maintain relationships with retail store managers and department managers.
- Present and sell company products and services to store accounts within assigned sales territory.
- Manage in-store inventory and properly merchandise products in assigned stores.
- Prepare and issue in-store credits if needed according to company/account policy.
- Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company employees.
- Be accessible via phone during business hours (may include weekends).
- Check and respond to email messages a minimum of once daily.
- Participate successfully in all sales drives, incentives, and contests.
- Participate in marketing events such as seminars and sales meetings.
Things you need to be able to do:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Carry up to 25 lbs.
- Frequently standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
Other stuff we like:
- A college degree is preferred but not required.
- One year of experience in sales and management.
- One year of culinary work or retail work is preferred.
- Valid Driver's License.
Things that are a plus:
- Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
- Experience working in large, complex multi-location and clients.
- Ability to recognize future trends and Detail-oriented.
- Willing to work a flexible schedule.
- Strong computer skills needed.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic must be able to work independently as a remote employee.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
- Strong relationship builder, fast communicator, ultra-organized, and deep passion for artisanal specialty foods.
