**OVERVIEW**

The Store Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of a Christopher& Banks store.

This key position is accountable for delivering results through effective management of store operations and Associates while ensuring an excellent customer experience.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

* Drive for Results

+ Demonstrate a play to win mindset. Drive plan, comp store sales, credit card and other key performance indicators (KPIs) with a customer first approach.

+ Train and model selling with STYLE.

+ Build brand awareness through planning and executing grassroots marketing activities and mall marketing.

+ Maintain sales floor awareness; resolve customer concerns quickly and effectively.

* Recruit, Hire and Staff

+ Assess talent and take action on opportunities to elevate store talent in a timely manner.

+ Proactively build talent bench of internal and external candidates, build a recruiting network of qualified

candidates and fill open positions within 30 days.

* Coach and Develop

+ Provide timely feedback, training and coaching that result in improved performance.

+ Create passion for the brand and a desire to improve performance.

+ Hold team accountable for achieving performance expectations.

+ Communicate clearly and respectfully and promote teamwork.

* Brand

+ Be a C&B STYLIST, have a passion to serve and STYLE our customers.

+ Use merchandising techniques to drive sales growth through compelling visual presentations.

+ Organize and lead efforts to keep a clean and safe store.

+ Ensure the store is consistently merchandised according to visual guidelines and hold team accountable to the standards.

* Operations

+ Maintain general operations of the store and adhere to all operational policies and procedures including loss prevention to ensure safe and efficient operations.

+ Execute of corporate directives within designated timeframes.

**ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES**

* Adhere to Company policies, procedures and Core Values.

* Regular attendance and the ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including nights, weekends and holidays.

* Direct Reports include:

+ Assistant Store Managers

+ Sales Associates (including Seasonal and Event Associates)

+ Temporary Key Holders

+ Stockroom Associates

* Other duties as assigned.

**QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES**

* Minimum 3 years of retail experience, Christopher & Banks experience preferred.

* Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.

* 1-2 years of specialty store experience preferred.

* Strong emphasis/experience in store operations function and/or customer service industry.

* Demonstrated ability to improve customer satisfaction and drive customer loyalty.

* Excellent visual merchandising skills.

* Ability to assess talent, coach, develop and manage performance.

* Strong communications skills and ability to foster a customer focused selling culture.

* Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time.

* Knowledge of retail math and the application of concepts and daily operations.

* Ability to operate point of sale (POS) register system with proficiency.

* Ability to make bank deposits in accordance with the Companys bank deposit guidelines

* Ability to travel as required.
