Your Role...

By exhibiting exceptional teamwork, boundless curiosity, and the utmost care, the Retail Store Sales Associate will assist their team to fulfill Blick's commitment to our customers, the Arts, and our local communities. The Retail Store Sales Associate will do this by providing outstanding customer service through an eagerness to assist customers and sharing helpful product knowledge which will translate to achieving sales goals. Additional responsibilities will also include POS operations, housekeeping, merchandising, signing, pricing, loss prevention and adherence with all company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include:

  • Displays an eager, energetic, and positive attitude with all customer interactions.
  • Consistently delivers extraordinary customer service utilizing the Blick Selling Cycle.
  • Proactively greets customers with warmth and energy, making artists of every ability feel welcome in our stores.
  • Identifies customer needs through open-ended, conversational questions.
  • Recommends products customers are looking for and suggests items that will enhance their project.
  • Informs customers about promotions and new items.
  • Is an ambassador of Custom Services, educating customers about our framing, custom canvas, and printing services.
  • Gives a seamless checkout experience ensuring each customer has had a great shopping experience, learns about our Preferred Program, and feels their business is valued.
  • Goes above and beyond to meet customers' needs.
  • Utilizes our website to order products for customers when needed.
  • Completes training programs including Blick Onboarding Training, Blick Sales Training, Custom Services Training, and Outreach Opportunities.
  • Assists in the completion of merchandise set-ups, ideally has knowledge of visual standards and techniques. Can implement and maintain store standards as set forth by store management.
  • Follows directions and balances tasks with customers to meet deadlines as assigned with minimal supervision while giving customers an incredible experience.
  • Understands and acts on the procedures required for reporting low stock levels, inventory discrepancies, and customer product requests to management as needed.

  • Availability to work flexible schedules including day/evening/weekend shifts and holidays as required by the needs of the business.

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds while using the appropriate lifting techniques and following all safety rules.
  • Prolonged walking, standing, and climbing ladders.

Travel:

  • Minimal travel in the local area may be required.

Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • 6 months of previous retail, sales, and/or customer service experience.

Pay Rate:

The pay range below is provided in compliance with state/city specific laws. This pay range applies to this location. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

  • $17.25 - $17.50 per hour + Sales Incentives
