Job Overview:
The Product Merchandiser is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of products for both direct-to-consumer and wholesale channels. This role includes strategic planning, analyzing market trends, and managing product assortments to align with company goals and financial objectives. The role reports to the CEO and collaborates with teams in design, product development, sales, and inventory management.
Salary: $115,000 - $125,000
Hybrid, 2 days on-site per week in CT.
Product Merchandiser Duties:
- Develop and execute product merchandising strategies that support company goals and customer expectations.
- Create seasonal and annual product plans to ensure offerings are in line with brand identity and financial targets.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to guide product selection and pricing.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance to inform future product decisions.
- Present product performance reports, including sales trends, inventory turnover, and profitability analysis.
- Gather and implement customer feedback to continually enhance the product assortment.
- Collaborate with teams across design, marketing, sales, and inventory management to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Coordinate with marketing and sales to highlight key products and drive promotions.
- Manage product replenishment and ensure smooth logistics flow.
Product Merchandiser Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Business, Retail Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of proven experience in product merchandising.
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting sales data and market trends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
