Empire Distributors Inc, A Leading Beverage Distributor is now hiring a Retail Wine Sales Representative Trainee. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Learns and executes the seven basics of Empire: distributions, position, display, pricing, point-of-sale, cold box, and rotation in each account.
* Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads.
* Travels through assigned territory daily to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, present items for distribution, and handle damages and off-condition product.
* Quotes prices and credit terms for orders obtained.
* Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules.
* Confers with District Manager to resolve customer problems.
* Position requires building of displays as well as maintenance of the displays. Coldbox and shelf maintenance is also a requirement of the position.
* Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.
* Identifies and respond to customers' needs.
* Maintains frequent and open communication with drivers, driver supervisors, district managers, sales managers and the general manager.
* Prepares and/or maintains distribution tracking reports, planning and goals, case quotas and dollar objectives and other administrative tasks as assigned.
* Executes sales plans and maintain accounts according to company standards.
* Tracks progress of goals on a weekly basis.
* Participates in supplier work-withs.
* Continually maintains training and product knowledge.
* Delivers emergency orders when needed.
* Attends trade show.
* Conducts business according to local and state laws.
* Other duties as assigned by District Manager.
Education and/or Experience
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
* Must have the ability to sustain a current and valid Alcohol Sales Permit from the Georgia Department of Revenue. Must maintain valid drivers license.
Computer Skills
* Basic computer knowledge and Knowledge of Order Processing Systems
