If you have experience with wholesale or retail marketing, selling, and managing wine inventory, and have a passion for food and wine pairing, this is an excellent opportunity for you!DESCRIPTION OF WORKThis position is responsible for providing retail customers with detailed advice regarding wine selections and solutions to wine and food pairings, situational wine needs, and encourage customers to try options that may have not yet been under consideration. You will be expected to openly engage shoppers and solicit inquires for service and assist customers in selecting products, recognize repeat customers, and build relationships with customers.You will be responsible for inventory to include maintaining, stocking, inventorying, replenishing, cleaning, and servicing the specialty products section for one of the PLCB's Premium Collection Stores.You will be responsible for recommending wines for in store tastings and conducting public tastings according to an approved schedule. Researching customer inquiries (e-mail, phone, written) and keeping abreast of current events within the industry will be a priority in this role. You will be responsible for specialty signage and marketing efforts established in Central Office.You will have the opportunity to provide training and mentoring to store staff to raise general product knowledge and specialty product initiatives. When operationally necessary, this position may conduct work more closely associated with standard retail clerk work. Duties relating to retail clerical work are as follows: counts out a register drawer and accounts for all assigned cash, ring sales during peak times, unload shipments, assist other employees in putting away inventory, and assists customers in locating products.Work Schedule and Additional Information:+ Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.+ Work hours may vary from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm, Sunday- Saturday.+ Salary: The starting salary for this position for new Commonwealth employees is fixed at the minimum salary listed above and is not negotiable.+ You will receive further communication regarding this position via email.
