Overview

Boon has an exciting career opportunity for a Retirement Plan / 401k Account Manager. The Account Manager for Retirement Plans/401k is responsible for Day-to-Day service and client retention for a Wealth Management and Retirement Plan book of business. The Account Manager for Retirement Plans/401k will also supervise members of the Retirement Administration team.

What You'll Do

  • Provide comprehensive meeting follow-up for clients and team members.
  • Manages the day-to-day operations of the retirement department.
  • Issue, bind, compose and proofread financial reports and investment reviews as well as meeting materials.
  • Respond and deliver client and internal requests in a prompt and attentive manner.
  • Responsible for special projects.
  • Responsible for assisting clients with 5500 data collection and filing.
  • Recognize financial terminology and understand market impacts.
  • Compose client correspondence.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities to address issues.
  • Foster a good working relationship with clients either through direct contact or in support of client needs.
  • Preparing meeting schedules and call agendas for clients
  • Display logical, work-oriented, and analytical thought processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need

  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience in the employee benefits/retirement industry (specifically 401k) required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering or equivalent education and experience required.
  • This role will need to be Securities 65 licensed, or willing to get licensed in 90 days (with our support).
  • 3 years of management experience required.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and implementations with varying deliverables.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to effectively prioritize in a busy work environment.
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to drive retirement teams.
  • Thorough knowledge of Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) law required.
  • Expert computer skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and the Internet.
