Definiti is a national retirement services company that helps clients manage and administer their retirement plans. We help clients define what's possible and what's next for their retirement plans. Purpose of positionThe Retirement Plan Consultant (RPC) will utilize strong consultative skills to establish and maintain trusted relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are fully addressed and expectations met. The RPC will manage the day-to-day operations of an assigned portfolio of client plans, focusing primarily on small and less complex plans. This role requires the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively, ensuring clients understand their options and the solutions provided.Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Review, interpret, and advise on Plan Documents, Amendments, Notices, and Summary Plan Descriptions.
  • Manage relationships and consult with clients to oversee annual administration and special projects, as outlined in the scope of services.
  • Collaborate with Plan Sponsors, Recordkeepers, Financial Advisors, and Auditors to deliver tailored solutions that help clients maintain their qualified plans.
  • Analyze plan provisions and census data to determine eligibility, key/highly compensated employees, and input relevant data.
  • Perform contribution allocation calculations, including Match, Safe Harbor, Top Heavy, Profit Sharing, New Comparability, and income allocations for unincorporated businesses.
  • Conduct ADP/ACP, Coverage, Top Heavy, Non-discrimination, and other Compliance Testing, including corrective actions for failed tests and projected testing.
  • Prepare and reconcile trust accounting records.
  • Prepare Valuation and Compliance Reports.
  • Handle government form preparation, including Form 5500, Form 8955-SSA, & Form 5330
  • Provide audit support for large plans.
  • Conduct annual administration reviews with Plan Sponsors and Advisor, as needed.
  • Complete plan specifications with recordkeepers when changes are made to plan provisions.
  • Continuously expand expertise and stay informed on relevant regulations.
  • Assist with other plan administration inquiries as required.
  • Actively contribute to the development and enhancement of processes and procedures, valuing creativity and innovation.

Education and Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a financial services operations environment
  • Broad knowledge of the retirement plan industry, willingness to obtain ASPPA QKA designation or NIPA equivalen

  • Accustomed to using Microsoft Teams (or similar virtual-meeting applications) to meet with colleagues regularly on video and use the chat feature for quick communications. We utilize many Microsoft Teams features (such as Channels and file storage) for announcements, relevant conversations, and file sharing. Familiarity with Microsoft Teams is a plus
  • Accustomed with file-storage and file-sharing tools such as Microsoft SharePoint
