Specific Responsibilities
The Accountant I, for Apache Corporation will be a member of Apache's Revenue Accounting team, reporting to the Revenue Accounting Manager. This role will be primarily responsible for the following:
* Perform revenue accounting functions related to Apache domestic oil and gas properties located in within assigned asset.
* Reconcile balance sheet accounts with emphasis on third party receivables, intercompany balances, and owner debit pays.
* Correspond with owner relations, compliance, land, and marketing departments to ensure proper accounting of assigned asset.
* Contribute on team projects and ad hoc management requests.
* Interface with multiple groups and individuals, both internal and external to Apache Corporation.
Qualifications & Experience
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
* Bachelor's degree required, preferably in accounting; other field of study may be considered when combined with a minimum of 12 completed accounting hours.
* Some prior professional accounting experience in the oil and gas industry preferred.
* Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Teams, Excel, and Outlook
* Knowledge and experience with SAP preferred.
* Revenue accounting experience preferred.
* Outstanding communication, interpersonal, management, administrative, organizational, and leadership skills
* Experience implementing sound decisions when faced with multi-faceted problems.
