Senior Revenue Accountant (View The Space Inc. d/b/a VTS) (New York, NY): Oversee month end reporting files to prepare journal entries. Reconcile data between systems, prepare revenue, deferred revenue schedules, and posting journal entries. Review data in the revenue system verifying GAAP compliance. Review contracts for nonstandard terms that would require special accounting under ASC 606 and spearhead streamlining the automation of month end reporting. Configuration changes within the revenue system and work with Senior Director of Finance Revenue to implement company-wide revenue accounting policies and practices to ensure the compliance with ASC 606. Cross functional communication to enhance and improve processes in support of accurate financial reporting and completion of external audit by Big 4 audit firm.Requires a master's degree in accounting, Finance, or closely related and two (2) years of experience in a corporate accountant or controller role with a SAAS organization. Experience must include Managing and compiling requested files to help accounting with audits in accordance with ASC 606 standard and US GAAP Accounting Standards. Internal and external financial modeling. Month-end close process, including preparing and reviewing relevant journal entries, performing revenue accounting reconciliations, and account analysis. Zuora Revenue, Salesforce, CPQ and NetSuite. Policy specifically for Mergers and acquisition. Preparing and presenting revenue metrics, reports, and analyses. $118,810 - $130,000.
