Essential Job Functions The Revenue Services Coordinator is responsible for providing overflow support to billing staff by editing time entry narratives and plays a critical role in ensuring accuracy and consistency in documentation of time worked. This individual is responsible for reviewing and editing narratives provided by the Revenue Managers and Supervisors and must have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of grammar and punctuation to ensure narratives are clear, concise, and free of errors. In addition to editing and proofreading the time entry narratives, the Revenue Services Coordinator may also be responsible for providing administrative support as well as communicating with timekeepers to clarify any discrepancies or incomplete information. They must work closely with the billing staff, Revenue Managers and Supervisors to ensure assignments are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Provide support and maintain productivity:
- Manage workload fluctuations during busy periods and unexpected spikes
- Handle excess work to maintain productivity
- Ensure tasks are completed on time and deadlines are met
- Edit draft invoices based on partners' mark-up, including:
- Write-offs, in accordance with firm policies/procedures
- Time/cost transfers; investigate appropriateness of where entries should be billed
- Time entry narrative changes with respect to additions, corrections, deletions
- Verify client specific rate accommodations and if necessary, apply approved discounts to the face of the invoices
- Pull back-up of costs to include with final invoices based on a client's billing requirements
- Administrative support as requested, including but not limited to:
- Proforma generation
- Apply unallocated balances
- Prepare AR Write-off memos
- Communicate with Revenue Managers and Supervisors regarding situations that may require follow-up on outstanding assignments and unexpected challenges
Qualifications & Requirements - The Revenue Services Coordinator will have a bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or Business. 1-2 years of previous billing experience in a law firm of professional services company is required.
- The Revenue Services Coordinator is expected to perform all job duties with a commitment to providing superior service to clients and attorneys while producing a high-quality work product. The ability to multitask and prioritize is essential.
- The Revenue Services Coordinator is expected to handle sensitive and/or confidential information.
- The Revenue Services Coordinator must possess outstanding interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team environment, as well as independently. The ability to adapt to new assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced, highly demanding environment is required. Additional requirements include outstanding customer service demeanor and flexibility to work after shift and additional hours as may be required.
