DescriptionThe Revenue Cycle Analyst will develop and maintain a revenue cycle for patient billing and collections. Review and update patient demographics, insurance eligibility, and other patient account records. The Revenue Cycle Analyst is responsible for recognizing and helping resolve patient account issues, denials, and problems to ensure timely and accurate payments and resolution of all patient issues.RequirementsEducational Requirements:•High school diploma or equivalent •Minimum three years' experience in the related area as an individual contributorResponsibilities include but are not limited to the following:•Define and document revenue cycle data sources of truth and data definitions per project to include alternative payment models and bundles.•Accesses practice management software/EMR and other databases to provide analytical support and reporting to revenue cycle teams and/or initiatives.•Develop and maintain standards to measure the effectiveness of all aspects of the revenue cycle, including statistical data for monthly reports (denial reports, late charge reports).•Keeps apprised of rules and regulations affecting reimbursement and revenue cycle.•Assists leadership in developing roadmaps for all applications in the revenue cycle solutions.•Documents and determines business requirements, business processes, output requirements, and technical feasibility of new or existing solutions within the revenue cycle solutions.•Develop testing scenarios and document outcomes for all solutions within the revenue cycle.•Provide general troubleshooting and system support, implementation planning, testing, communication, and training•Summarizes data and provides direct commentary or insight into data results•Performs other duties as assigned.
