The Revenue Cycle Director is responsible for the leading Revenue Cycle team and functions including billing collections, coding, and medical records, with a focus on Claims, Denials, and A/R Management. The position serves as a subject matter expert (SME) on Critical Access Hospital and Rural Health Clinic billing and works closely with Senior Leadership on all revenue-related activities. Oversees Revenue Cycle Team by managing processes, productivity and financial results for the area(s) assigned including, but not limited to, key aspects of coding, billing, medical records, collections, and accounts receivable. Ensuring efficient, accurate, compliant, and timely activities in all functional areas. Serves as a supportive mentor/coach for the performance and development of revenue cycle team members, driving engagement throughout the department. Typical ScheduleMonday thru Friday, daytime hours.Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with (5+) years' experience with hospital and clinic billing and collections, preferred.
- CAH and RHC experience, preferred.
- Four (4) years' previous experience of professional experience working in a leadership role, preferably within healthcare.
- Certified Revenue Cycle Executive (CRCE) or similar certification, preferred.

- Develop and implement revenue cycle strategies that optimize financial performance.
- Monitor and analyze revenue cycle metrics, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.
- Lead initiatives to improve billing and collections processes.
Leadership and Team Development:
- Manage and mentor revenue cycle staff, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Conduct regular training sessions to ensure team members are knowledgeable about policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance overall revenue cycle efficiency.
Financial Analysis:
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare regular reports for executive leadership on revenue cycle performance.
- Develop forecasts and budgets related to revenue cycle operations.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including billing and coding guidelines.
- Conduct audits to identify and mitigate risks related to revenue cycle processes.
- Implement corrective action plans when necessary.
Patient Engagement:
- Enhance patient experience by ensuring clear communication regarding billing and payment processes.
- Address patient inquiries and concerns related to the revenue cycle.
- Work to improve patient collections and satisfaction scores.
Technology Utilization:
- Leverage technology and systems to streamline revenue cycle operations.
- Stay current with industry trends and innovations related to revenue cycle management.
- Collaborate with IT to implement and maintain effective revenue cycle software solutions.
