Works with insurance providers on updating/renewing contracts and following up on claims owed. Reviews and develops processes to improve the functionality of the Revenue Cycle department. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSMinimum of 7-10 years of experience in revenue cycle management with progressive responsibility.At least 3-5 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role within revenue cycle management.Acute healthcare experience a must!EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCERequired: Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related field.Preferred: Master's degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration (MBA) or a related field.HFMA-Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) a plus.LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONNot ApplicableResponsibilities-Perform follow-up and related vendor services.Complete third-party audits relative to claims, collection agency activities and identification of issues.Identify and correct operating issues that will maximize the effect cash flow.Ensure maximization of cash collections through diligent and timely monitoring of all open accounts receivable balances.Develop and monitor billing and collection functions conducted by agency staff.Establish and enforce patient self-pay collection protocols.Participate in negotiations with both current and targeted insurers. Analyze reimbursement from all sources.Prep Prepare receivable and revenue information for the monthly and annual general ledger closings.Active in relevant healthcare industry groups.Manages the overall roadmap, planning and execution of the strategy to deploy revenue and access Solu solutions.Establishes a strong working relationship with end users and business partners.Effectively manages project scope-issues, risks and resources as it relates to projects.Acts on data in a timely manner, monitors for accuracy and communicates regarding project performance.Proactively collaborates across initiatives with other product and cross functional teams.Coordinates parameter definitions related to business rules and clinical requirements, so documentation reflects regulatory standards and organizational goals. Assumes responsibility for the success of projects, assigned as project lead.Provide written communication with client/partners, team members and management the status of assignments on a weekly basis via project documentation.Create supporting collateral and support sales effort with clinical staff.Provide leadership relative to solution ideation, creation, development and implementation.Develops and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external support teams.Ensures consistent standards and business metrics are in line with business unit goals, adherence to all aspects of compliance regulations and company policies. Partner with Revenue Cycle Services operations leadership to proactively initiate process improvements for the ongoing enhancement of service performance and quality.Along with presence, director must have the interpersonal and approachability skills, vision and energy to assume larger responsibilities with a quickly expanding unit/team.Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement and a continued focus on making our service center training the best in the industry.Possess the versatility required to be a leader, manager, teacher, coach and mentor while placing high value on people and processes.We are committed to being an equal opportunity employer.
