We're seeking a Revenue Cycle Informaticist to join our team! In this role, you'll serve as an integral member of the electronic health record (Epic) support team. Key responsibilities include direct involvement with the development, implementation, training and support of the electronic health record. The informaticist identifies and seeks approval for enhancement requests and assists in the prioritization and implementation process associated to this change. The role provides advanced support to the Revenue Cycle Trainers and serves as a liaison between IT and end users and may assist with other applications as assigned.
Location: Madison, Wisconsin OR Dubuque, Iowa region- Hybrid.

What you'll do:
Client/End User Education:
- Serve as the subject matter expert and maintain advance knowledge of the EHR application(s) and teach the application(s) to others within the organization, following the standardized and best practice curriculum.
- Lead and provide educational updates related to registration/scheduling/billing applications for trainers and staff through classroom sessions, 1:1 instruction, or using remote technology.
- Assist with education programs for end users and training team as needed.
- Identify and develop EHR workflows to support process changes and enhance the overall workflow of the clinic or department.
- Lead and coordinate training programs with the various functional departments to achieve and reinforce organizational goals. This may include programs specific to quality, regulatory or insurance requirements and incentives.
- Responsible for pre-planning and on-site support activities associated with the onboarding of new staff and/or new departments.
- Communicate all EHR-related information to affected staff in a timely and effective manner, using a variety of methods when appropriate.
- Responsible for timely responses to inquiries from end users via the Get Help button and shared email.
- Responsible for creating content and distributing newsletters and facilitating super user meetings and education.
- Coordinates and monitors the success of onboarding new trainers to the team.
Assessment/Planning:
- Serve as the subject matter expert.
- Oversee and assess EHR competency levels of training team members and staff.
- Recommend action plan, areas of opportunity and additional training needed to strengthen performance and increase efficiency of training team, leaders and end users.
- Provide advance training to elevate the training team and leadership knowledge of EHR applications.
- Support IT, revenue cycle management and operational leadership to monitor effectiveness of training efforts. Monitoring may include routine review of reports and utilization data used in the development of action plans.
- Serve as chair and/or participate in committees and workgroups, as needed, to address specific issues or assist in the development of revised or new programs. This may include agenda preparation, meeting coordination, and submitting timely minutes/documentation.
- Coordinate data and reporting needs with the end user and reporting team, as needed, and analyze data or submit reports as assigned.
Customer Service/Technical Support:
- Responsible for resolving the end user and IT in complex and elevated EHR or computer related issues, which may include the submission and/or tracking of service tickets.
- Identifies, tracks, and seeks approval for enhancement request, and assists in the prioritization and implementation of these system changes.
What you'll need:
Education:
Bachelors degree in a healthcare related field or equivalent experience (minimum four years) in medical practice management or healthcare related IT systems/training.
Experience:
Experience with Revenue Cycle Epic applications required.
Medical/billing office background required.
License(s)/Certification(s):
Valid drivers license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
Epic credentialed trainer status for registration/scheduling/billing.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English.
Basic computer knowledge using e-mail, SharePoint, and web browsers, and Microsoft office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience with electronic health record functionality.
Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment.
Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to present to adult learners in an effective manner.
