We are searching for a talented Revenue Cycle Registrar

Hours: 32hrs

Shift: Day Shift, flexible 8:00am - 5:00pm

Location: Southcoast Business Center - Fairhaven, MA

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 20 hours.

Responsibilities:Under the general direction of the Manager or designee, performs a wide variety of duties to secure optimal revenue for all services performed at Southcoast facilities. These duties consist of timely and accurate completion of all aspects of the registration. Contacts patients and providers to obtain additional information as needed. Provides directions to patients on how to update information with their insurance companies. Reviews accuracy of information and makes updates as needed. Understands the ABN process and its impact on the organization. Identifies issues with the ABN process and notifies leadership with supporting data. Ability to navigate payer portals to verify insurance coverages and understand the benefits provided.Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Additional trade school education preferred.
  • Medical terminology certificate preferred.
  • Ability to communicate with physicians, patients and third-party payers.
  • Strong computer skills required including web-based applications and researching.
  • Medical Terminology certificate is preferred.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
Pay Range:USD $16.39 - USD $27.50 /Hr.
