We strategize, implement and execute – on behalf of the practices we serve.The Revenue Cycle Team Lead supports the Revenue Cycle Manager with oversight and management of the Central Billing Office (CBO), which provides direct service to Mid-Atlantic Women's Care. This role identifies opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness, monitors benchmarks and reviews performance statistics. The Lead works with individual departments and practice staff to support the goals and protocols of revenue cycle workflow and revenue affecting tasks. The individual must be able to collaborate with all team members and assist with escalations.ResponsibilitiesSupporting the revenue cycle operations of the organization and serving as a subject matter expertDistributing work among the revenue cycle team to drive work allocation and productivity managementLeading initiatives to identify improvement opportunitiesResearching root causes and initiating claims resolution in the billing system with knowledge of the upstream and downstream impact of workAssisting all team members as needed with resolution of complex claim issues and scenariosFacilitating team meetings, monitoring continuing education opportunities and disseminating learned information to downstream teamsCreating an “open door” policy and environment for staff to raise billing related issues as they happen, and providing support as neededQualifications• Associates degree from an accredited university preferred• Certification in area of expertise strongly preferred• Minimum of 5-years experience in revenue cycle management, contracting, central business offices, or other healthcare related fields pertinent to reimbursement of physician, ancillary, or hospital services• Able to meet tight deadlines• Excellent written and oral communication skills• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite• Experience working in athenanet preferred but not required• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and issues effectively and simultaneously• Self-motivated and self-starter who can work well under minimal supervision• Strong attention to detail, research and follow up skills• Ability to work both independently and in a team setting
