MM promotes sustainable development through innovative, recyclable packaging and paper products.Rewind Machine Operator - PM RotationGreat talent is how we make things happen - Join us!To strengthen our team in Greensboro, we are looking for a Rewind Machine Operator for the PM rotation shift (5pm-5am)Your RoleAs a Rewind Machine Operator, your responsibilities include:
- Perform proper area clearance at the beginning and end of each job to reduce the risk of product mix.
- Read and understand entire job ticket to insure all customer requirements are being met.
- Perform set up of Rewinder to job specifications.
- Set up and calibrate label counter, missing label detector, and flag sensor.
- Set up, calibrate, and insure accuracy of Imaje Ink Jet label printer as required by customer specifications.
- Maintain proper unwind and rewind tensions.
- Maintain proper nip roll tensions
- Set up and adjust slitter blades to maintain proper slitting.
- Thoroughly inspect product for defects throughout each job.
- Splice rolls as needed and as customer requirements dictate.
- Retain splice samples in job ticket for every job.
- Complete product monitor form, label verification and reconciliation form, and splice record form as required by department's SOPs.
- Calculate and determine customer roll size and quantity while insuring that entire order is met with overages whenever possible as allowed by customer.
- Properly log both into and out of Hagen computer system while entering net and gross counts as well as any specific notes related to that job.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance.
Your ProfileQualifications for the Rewind Machine Operator position include:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical printing or packaging industry desired
- Basic computer skills
