Job Description:
Chipton-Ross is seeking an RF Engineer for a contract opportunity in Chelmsford, MA. This position is 100% onsite. RESPONSIBILITIES:o The engineer will have the opportunity to design and develop circuits, modules, and sub-systems from initial concept through prototyping and full rate production.o The engineer will work on complex technical problems and provide solutions which are innovative and ingenious.o The engineer will act independently to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of operational products.o The engineer will have an opportunity to mentor less experienced engineers on our team.o The engineer will contribute to or author proposals and may participate on business capture efforts.o The engineer will collaborate with other engineering disciplines to include hardware engineers, systems engineers, and circuit design engineers as well as technicians and manufacturing support personnel.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:o Experience with troubleshooting RF products and resolving integration issues is required.o Experience with the use of microwave test equipment is required.o Excellent communication and organization skills are required.DESIRED REQUIREMENTS: o Relevant experience in the defense electronics industry is desired.o Experience with RF design is desired.o Knowledge of RF subsystems and hardware including antennas, transmitters, receivers, microwave components, low noise amplifiers, high power amplifiers, advanced electronic modules, amplifiers, mixers, switches, frequency generation circuits, and frequency conversion circuits is desired.o Experience with microwave simulation tools is desired.o Experience with microelectronics assembly techniques is desired.o Knowledge of technical documentation such as specifications, schematic diagrams and test data is desired.EDUCATION:Accredited BS degree in electrical engineering or closely related technical field and 5 years of relevant professional engineering experience.
