Position SummaryThe RF Engineer conducts both RF System for chip and board level characterization and verification tests for Tensorcom. The RF Engineer works on debugging and resolving the issues that arise during the testing phase. Will support the production of new board build, bring up, and provide technical support for customers
Essential Functions: - Conduct RF testing to characterize and evaluate the chip and test board
- Prepare and set up test environment
- Write a script to control test equipment for an automated test
- Debugging and troubleshooting for a test board
- Generating test report with data analysis
- Review and check technical documents, such as BOM, PCB drawing and schematic diagram
- Provide technical support for customer inquiry
- Provide technical support for board production
Requirements: - Bachelor degree of Electronic Engineering or related field
- Experience in RF test measurement with test equipment preferred.
- Experience with software language for auto test preferred.
- RF test equipment training
- DA tool (such as PCB CAD) basic training
- ATE (Automatic Test Equipment) software training
Other Abilities: - Understanding of RF test equipment and measurement. Be able to read circuit schematic and PCB layout drawings.
- Knowledge of electronic components, wireless communication systems and high speed connectivity systems such as USB and PCIe.
- Able to debug and do test report generation.
*All hires are based upon successful completion and passage of a background check.$85,000 (entry-level qualifications) to $110,000 (highly experienced)The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications, prior experience as well as geographic location. This is the pay range the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of this posting. Compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position.
