  • Responsible for all job site management activities of the rigging crew of up to 8 people.
  • Develops, plans, and implements crew and alignment with customer and salesmen with direction of job.
  • Directs workforce to meet operational goals in terms of productivity, cost, quality, safety, and schedule.
  • Directly supervises and works with one or more machinery moving crews.
  • Working supervisor with the ability to effectively assemble/disassemble and move machinery utilizing forklifts, gantries, cranes, skates, and jacks.
  • Develop, train, and instruct machinery moving crews in best known rigging operation practices and procedures including safety.
  • Work closely with safety personnel in identifying safety training needs. Assist in conducting investigations of accident, injury, or damage incidents for reporting purposes.
  • Build customer and employee relationships with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Effectively manage job site projects by documenting and organizing all on-site project information to ensure accuracy and appropriate documentation.
  • Consistently demonstrates professional conduct representative of MEI corporate mission, vision, and values.
  • Work alongside field technicians in assembly and erecting of machine tools.
  • Drive to customer job sites and work and direct all activities on customer job sites.
  • Maintain a presentable, neat, and orderly work environment.
  • A certain degree of problem-solving, creativity, flexibility, and decision-making ability is required.
  • Perform other job responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Minimum 5 years' proven machinery moving foreman experience or comparable field experience, preferably within machinery moving industry
  • Minimum 5 years' crane rigging & signaling experience
  • Minimum 5 years' experience assembling/disassembling and moving machinery utilizing forklifts, gantries, cranes, skates, and jacks.
  • Must have own basic hand tool set
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment DOT physical
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Class A CDL
  • NCCCO Rigger Certification
  • NCCCO Signalperson Certification
  • OSHA 30
