Job DescriptionThis role will be a remote based position requiring travel across the country to active job sites. Strong candidates will have 2-4 years background in theatrical or production rigging or comparable industry experience with ETCP rigging certification a plus.Rigging Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Be the Rigging subject matter expert
- Get continued industry training such as ETCP, OSHA, Project Management, Manufacturing training such as ETC Prodigy, Thern, and others.
- Review contract documents such as drawings and specifications to ensure these inputs are incorporated into system design
- Create a detailed bill of materials with all equipment and materials needed for a successful project
- Perform site surveys, field checks, site readiness visits, and contractor meetings as required
- Coordinate with drafters and engineers on submittal and shop drawings
- Generate and submit RFI's, change orders, and submittal packages to client
- Coordinate with vendors for procurement and fabrication of project deliverables from drawing packages to the field
- Support field team and design team during installation and commissioning
- Track budget throughout project to avoid cost overruns, and develop lessons learned at completion to implement on future projects
- Some travel required
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in technical theatre or construction preferred, or commensurate industry experience of at least three years
- Prior hands-on experience in technical theatre or construction
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience in AutoCAD and Microsoft Project preferred
- Dedicated team player with strong attention to detail and work ethic
- ETCP Rigging certification a plus
