The selected candidate must reside in the New York Metropolitan area and will work primarily at the ORC office in Manhattan for Metropolitan Transportation Authority projects, although some remote work may be allowable based upon field activity and office coverage. What you will be doing:As a Right of Way Agent, you will provide relocation assistance services guided by the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act of 1970 and per project guidelines and regulations, for federally funded road projects throughout the right-of-way project lifecycle in support of the Project Manager (PM), or members of the project team. This includes preparing real estate documents, performing basic property research for ownership and boundary information, and communicating with property owners and their representatives for the relocations. You will be responsible for performing general administrative work including but not limited to preparing legal documents, reports and correspondence, attending meetings, entering and retrieving computer data, copying and filing documents for file management, verbal and written communications with customers, customer service and related functions. Future responsibilities may include the acquisition of real property, and likely extend to other projects and clients in NYC boroughs and areas surrounding New York City (i.e., Long Island, lower Hudson Valley).We are looking for someone who:

Here are the minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience performing relocations and acquisitions under a structured local, state, or federal program
- Must be proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, Outlook, and Dropbox
- Must have an iOS or Android smartphone to be able to access ORC's systems
- Valid Driver's License

Able to read, understand and interpret department related documents and data. The employee is required to move about inside the office to access files, office equipment and to interact with other members of the staff. This role requires the employee to occasionally travel to meet with clients or vendors which involves time driving; sometimes for long durations. While meeting with clients and vendors, will need to be outdoors traversing different types of landscapes.
