RISE Academy is a subsidiary of RISE Education System, a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational organization that is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and Cognia. It is our mission to promote the holistic development of the child through an authentic and experiential student learning experience. This is accomplished by educating the child in the formation of faith, family and community. RISE Academy strives for the development of the whole child by providing excellence in academic preparation in a faith-based environment. It is our vision to guide and nurture students to become role models who will exhibit high levels of God-consciousness, professional excellence and civic leadership by serving society at large.We are looking to hire a full-time, in-person Administrative Assistant for the 2024-2025 school year at the RISE Academy in San Jose, California.Job Expectations:

Responsibilities include:
  • Promote a healthy and safe school environment
  • Supervise student arrival and dismissal
  • Supervise students during recess and lunchtime
  • Occasionally substituting as a teacher in the classroom
  • Helping to execute school events
  • Support the school leadership on a number of different tasks that emerge daily
  • Promote a healthy and positive attitude with parents
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures as outlined in the family, staff, and administrative system handbooks
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
Required Skills/Qualities:
  • High School diploma or its equivalent; minimum two-year Associate Degree
  • Any combination of experience and training which would indicate possession of knowledge, skills andabilities listed above
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English
  • Classroom management skills required of a substitute teacher
Preferred Skills/Qualities:
  • At least 2 years of experience in administration support
  • At least 2 years experience in working in an academic institution
Compensation:The compensation range is based on working experience, academic degrees, and certifications. Children of staff members are eligible for tuition discounts.
