DUTIES:
- Assist the Director of Nursing Services in maintaining the quality of care and managing nursing responsibilities.
- Conduct weekly Wound/Skin Rounds.
- Ensure compliance and effective communication with nursing staff at all levels.
- Meet the medical needs of residents.
- Coordinate and plan nursing services.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of general nursing theory and practice.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and hazards, review risk-related events, and manage SNF Metrics Reporting.
- Support risk-related events and assist in emergency situations.
- Analyze patient safety incidents, medical errors, and potential risks, and coordinate with Legal/Risk Management on investigations and claims.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of medical records.
- Assist with interviewing, hiring, and orienting new nursing staff.
- Oversee daily staffing process and infection control.
- Maintain flexibility with work schedule to address unpredictable needs.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Current State RN license required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Long-Term Care settings.
- 2 years of management experience preferred.
- 1 year of staff education experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and evidence of basic leadership skills required.
- Flexible hours required.
