Rivers to Ridges Heritage Trail - Preserve WV AmeriCorps
Rivers to Ridges Heritage Trail is a regional nonprofit organization serving Mason, Putnam, and western Kanawha Counties. Their mission is to enhance and promote economic activities, through technical and financial assistance for the development of a tourism corridor which follows the Kanawha River from Nitro, WV to Point Pleasant, WV. Preserve WV AmeriCorps is the Preservation Alliance of West Virginia's statewide national service initiative connecting members with rural grassroots organizations and public agencies charged with preserving West Virginia history. The primary goal of this program is to build efficient, effective, and sustainable organizations working to improve economic, social, and cultural opportunities in West Virginia. Members' service is site-dependent but generally lasts for one year and involves tasks related to historic preservation, museum collections management, communications, educational outreach, and volunteer management. There are also opportunities to sharpen your knowledge of hands-on historic trades and learn a new skill during service with Preserve WV. Further help on this page can be found by clicking here.
