To perform job duties in accordance with the medical center's purpose.Education & ExperienceMaster's degree plus one (1) year of experience in Healthcare Management, Healthcare Quality Improvement, Case Management, Performance Improvement, direct patient care, or related field, or Bachelor's degree plus three (3) years of experience in Healthcare Management, Healthcare Quality Improvement, Case Management, Performance Improvement, direct patient care, or related field.Valid RN license.Certifications, Licenses or Registration Required: Valid RN license. Six Sigma Green Belt or above certification preferred.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesKnowledge of current theoretical approaches to delivering nursing care and strategies for examining and applying relevant concepts. Knowledge of performance improvement concepts and the ability to participate in developing and implementing strategies to address opportunities for improving the care delivered to patients.   • Coordinates ongoing clinical quality improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams and committees to ensure that evidence-based clinical quality goals and outcomes are developed and implemented using appropriate standards of care. Serves as liaison as appropriate
  • Educates others on clinical quality improvement initiatives.
  • Works to ensure integration of clinical quality improvement initiatives into the day to day operations.
  • Provides feedback to unit leadership and administration regarding outcomes from clinical improvement initiatives during and after implementation, and regarding outcomes of performance measures of clinical pathways.
  • Serves as a mentor and facilitator to clinical outcome improvement teams. Creates templates for streamlining clinical outcomes improvement team development, pathway development and implementation.
  • Serves on at least one nursing council, hospital, or medical center committee, task force, or project team to improve patient care or work area demonstrates core standards of exceptional customer service.
  • Maintains clinical competency and provides direct patient care as needed.
