Travel experience preferred for travel positions. License: Current NYS RN License Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Must-Have: EPIC experience is highly preferred. Job Description: - Deliver patient care by embracing the tenets of Relationship-Centered Care and utilizing the nursing process based on theory, research, and evidence-based practice.- Assess and evaluate patient care needs; integrate critical thinking skills into care management.- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate the plan of care.- Prioritize all aspects of patient care including education, after-hospital planning, and delegating responsibilities as needed.- Educate patients and caregivers regarding their plan of care, health promotion, disease prevention, and transition of care.- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and all members of the healthcare team.- Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model and utilize material resources effectively.- Role model professional practices through actions such as Admission Welcome, Bedside Shift Report, and Purposeful Hourly Rounding.- Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and families.- Use evidence-based practices to enhance patient care perceptions and implement service recovery when necessary.- Practice safe, efficient patient-centered care and engage in quality improvement initiatives.- Perform charge nurse duties as assigned, coordinate resources, and escalate issues as needed.- Document nursing practices accurately in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.- Support professional development, ethical decision-making, and lifelong learning.- Participate in shared decision-making through committees and unit initiatives.
