We are looking for a RN Educator for our Licensed Home Care team.This is a onsite role that requires a regularly scheduled commute/travel to our office in Bronx, NY and/or the FreedomCare hub closest to you.Department & Position Overview:The RN Educator will be responsible for implementing and teaching a 40-hour Home Health Aide (HHA) course and an Advanced Care Directives (ACD) course. This role involves delivering high-quality education, ensuring that students gain the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles. The RN Educator will also be responsible for evaluating student performance, maintaining educational standards, and staying current with industry best practices. Every Day You Will:Course Delivery:
    • Utilize a variety of teaching methods and technologies to enhance learning and engagement
Instruction and Training:
    • Conduct classroom and practical training sessions for students, ensuring that all course content is delivered effectivel
    • Demonstrate practical skills and techniques related to home health care and advanced care directives
    • Facilitate hands-on practice and simulation exercises to reinforce learning
Student Evaluation and Support:
    • Assess student performance through tests, quizzes, practical evaluations, and assignments
    • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to help students improve their skills and knowledge
    • Offer additional support and resources to students who may need extra help
Compliance and Standards:
    • Ensure that all training programs comply with state and federal regulations and industry standards
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in home health care practices, advanced care directives, and relevant legal requirements
    • Implement best practices for student safety and confidentiality
Administrative Duties:
    • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and course evaluations
    • Prepare and submit reports as required by the institution or regulatory bodies
    • Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new students
Professional Development:
    • Participate in ongoing professional development activities to stay current with nursing education trends and practices.
    • Attend relevant workshops, conferences, and training sessions to enhance
Ideal Candidate Will Possess:
  • NYS Licensed and currently registered as a Registered Professional Nurse
  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing and holds a Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate Degree
  • 2-3 year experience in the provision of nursing care in an acute care facility. One year satisfactory Nursing experience in Home Care, desired
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before customers/patients or employees of the agency
  • Ability to perform mathematical operations as related to medication calculations, units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance
  • Good Organizational writing, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form

This provides our employees with the opportunity to professionally grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $90,000 and $105,000 per year at the commencement of your first year of employment. Compensation decisions are dependent upon a variety of factors which may include, but are not limited to: skill set, years of relevant experience, education, location, and licensure/certifications.Salary Range$90,000-$105,000 USD
