Job specification - Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in the emergency department.
- Perform triage, administer medications, and provide wound care and other treatments as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including documentation of symptoms, treatments, and progress.
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and nursing protocols; ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, including trauma, cardiac arrests, and other critical conditions.
- Work collaboratively with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on discharge instructions, medications, and ongoing care needs.
Candidate requirements - Associate degree in Nursing is required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an emergency department or critical care setting.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is required.
