Details Client NameMount Sinai West Job TypeTravel OfferingNursing ProfessionRN SpecialtyOccupational/Employee Health Job ID29333031 Job TitleRN - Employee Health - Contract - MSH Weekly Pay$2253.15 Shift Details ShiftD/E/N Rotating - 8x5 - 07,19 Scheduled Hours40 Job Order Details Start Date12/09/2024 End Date02/01/2025 Duration8 Week(s) Job Description Job Title: Clinical Nurse - Ambulatory Care Nursing Job Specialty: Employee Health Job Duration: 8 months Shift: Variable hours; includes some weekends and holidays; 5x8 Hr shifts; hours could be 7:30-4, 8-4:30, or 8:30-5 Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience; 2 years of medicine experience License: RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: EPIC experience highly preferred, great organizational skills Job Description: - Deliver patient care by integrating the tenets of a professional practice model centered on relationships and applying the nursing process based on theory, research, and evidence-based practice.- Assess and evaluate patient care needs, using critical thinking skills in patient care management.- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams in the development, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.- Prioritize all aspects of patient care including teaching, rounding, coaching, planning after hospital care, and delegating to others as appropriate.- Educate patients and caregivers about their plan of care, transition of care, health promotion, and disease prevention.- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and all members of the interdisciplinary care team.- Manage assignments within a modified primary nursing care model and demonstrate effective allocation of material resources.- Model relationship-centered care through actions such as admission welcome, bedside shift report, and promoting collaboration between medical and nursing staff.- Establish and maintain a therapeutic relationship with patients and their families.- Implement service recovery for patients and family members with concerns, escalating issues as needed.- Practice safe and efficient patient-centered care, identifying and escalating opportunities for improvement.- Participate in process improvement projects and quality and safety practices.- Utilize institutional information technology for documentation to support quality and performance improvement.- Perform charge nurse duties as assigned and coordinate resource allocation.- Document accurately and thoroughly in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.- Contribute to a supportive environment for clinical colleagues, patients, and healthcare team members.- Advance clinical competence and participate in lifelong learning and innovation. Education: A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred. An Associate degree in Nursing is considered with relevant experience and/or active matriculation in a BSN program.
