What You Will Do
- You will need to utilize your assessment skills and knowledge base to prep patients for procedures.
- You will be responsible for planning the patient care needed post op, including, spiritual, emotional, and physiological needs.
In The Procedure Room
- Learn/Continue: To assist with basic Endoscopy procedures such as Colonoscopy and EGD's.
- Learn/Continue: To assist with more advanced therapeutic procedures that prevent patients from having surgery for mass removal and swallowing disorders, and other interventions that treat/diagnose common GI ailments such as reflux disease, Barrett's esophagus, and removal of Colon Polyps.
- Learn/Continue: To assist and administer moderate sedation.
What You Will Need
- A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York
- Registered Nurses must possess the ability to assess, plan, direct, intervene and evaluate patient care
- The RN must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and written
- MINIMUM of 1 year of RN Acute Surgical/Endo experience required
- BLS Required. ACLS required (Can be provided during orientation)
- Telemetry Training (Can be acquired during orientation)
- On call availability 1 weekday night every other week. 1 weekend every 6-7 weeks (based on coverage)

Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
