Location: Syracuse, New York
Job/ Shift Hours: Monday - Friday (day hours
As a RN for Infusion; you will be required to have:Evaluates patients within a infusion clinic and collaborate with other members of the healthcare team
Communicates patient history, current assessment findings, status, and response to care
Provides education to patients, the patients support team, and peers
Assists with ordering a delivering of medical supplies and medications
Document accurate patient information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
Triages patient calls and inquiries
Inserts and monitors IV catheters
Maintains equipment to be used with patients
Assesses patients throughout the infusion for adverse reactions to the medication (RN ONLY)
Documents medications and side effects in the medical record (RN ONLY)
Educates self, staff, and patient family regarding all infusion medications and premeds (RN ONLY)
Responds appropriately to side effects, adverse reactions, or anaphylaxis during infusion (LPN makes RN aware and assists under RN direction)
The ideal candidate must have:NYS RN/LPN license with Infusion experience.
Excellent communication skills, reliable team player.
