Regal Heights Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center is a 172 bed skilled nursing facility nestled in beautiful Hockessin, Delaware. We are currently seeking an experienced RN Infection Preventionist/Wound Care Nurse to join our nursing team!Negotiable Salary!$5,000 SIGN ON BONUS!This position is responsible for policy and program development, standards interpretation and regulatory analysis, epidemiology and outbreak analysis. Leadership of and/or participation in work groups or committees as required for IP program success. Employee Health related to employee infections/immunizations/prophylaxis. Active participation in environmental inspections, continuing education and in-services. Collaborates and partners with Staff Development to facilitate and promote performance improvement in Infection Control. Plays an active role during surveys and inspections by regulatory agencies. Maintains entries into DelVax system and completes all daily and weekly reporting requirements.Job Responsibilites:Follow new admissions and current residents on proper documentation of PPD, FLU, pneumonia vaccinations.Flu clinics for residents and staffProvide education on the Covid vaccinations and assist with facility in-servicesAdminister COVID vaccinations as needed.Document COVID information into DelvaxManage the antibiotic stewardship documentationAntibiotic line listKeep abreast of any new CDC warnings or regulations to COVID or any other potential diseases.On call rotationQualifications:Must be a RN with an active Delaware License.Willingness to attain an Infection Preventionist certification.Three years experience providing direct care to residents in a long term care setting.
